Visitation & Exchange Services

Our vision: To create safer families and a safer community by improving the understanding and response to the needs of those experiencing family violence.

Our mission: Our supervised visitation and exchange program is part of a collaborative community effort to provide victims of family violence and their children with safety and support to develop and sustain positive family interaction that reduces the negative impact of violence within families and our community.

Center for Family Visitation

We Provide

  • Exchanges- Services are offered to parents who are unable to exchange children for weekend, vacation placement without having conflict. This service allows parents the easy of exchanging children without having to come in contact with one another and provides safety to parents and children.
  • Supervised Visitation- Services provide an opportunity for safe interactions between parents and their children. Families are given times to build lasting memories, develop, mentor, and mend child/parent relationship.
  • Referral Counseling- for parents and children
  • Parenting Information- provide information to parents on children’s issues and explaining the impact of custody struggles and abuse on children
  • Community Education

We accept referrals from various agencies as well as self referrals. Once a referral is made, both parties are required to meet visitation staff to complete an orientation.

Who is Eligible for Services

  • Parents who have obtained a restraining order for related domestic abuse issues*
  • Parents working with a social service agency or other family based agencies.
  • Parents who have not seen their children for an extensive period of time*
  • Parents who have children in foster care as a result of abuse*
  • Parents and/or children at risk due to domestic abuse*
  • Any guardian of a child involved in any of the above issues.

*A fee may be charged, depending on referral.
